Legal
Last updated 6 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information Watania Travel collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because you should be able to understand it without a lawyer.
We only collect information you choose to give us. There are two places on this site where you can do that:
We do not collect payment card details anywhere on this website. We do not ask for passport numbers, identity documents, or financial information through this site.
We use what you send us for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and plan the trip you asked about. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not add you to marketing lists without you asking us to.
This site sets a session cookie, which is required for the trip planner and contact forms to work securely (it protects your submission against cross-site request forgery). It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
We may also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and move through the site — for example, which destinations are viewed most. This tells us about traffic patterns, not about you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and JavaScript libraries from public content delivery networks so that pages load quickly. These providers may see your IP address as a normal part of serving those files. We share nothing else with them.
To actually deliver a trip we may need to pass your details to the hotels, guides, and transport operators involved in your itinerary. We share only what is necessary for your booking, and only once you have asked us to proceed.
We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to serve you, and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not legally required to retain it, we will.
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have these rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively, including the right to object to processing and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
To make any of these requests, email us at info@watania-tours.com.
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Form submissions are validated and stored using parameterised database queries, and administrative access is password protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect what you send us.
